Our Story – A Heritage of Quality Since 1973

At Gillicci Clothing Co. Ltd, our journey through the world of apparel spans more than five decades. While our current home is a modern, purpose-built facility in Birmingham where we've been operating since 2011, our roots run much deeper.

Randhir Singh Gill began our story in 1973, trading under the name Gill Fashions, from a small retail unit in Wolverhampton selling a handful of leather jackets. What started as a humble family-run retail shop quickly grew into something much larger, driven by a passion for quality, a deep understanding of customer needs, and an unwavering commitment to hard work.

By the 1980s, we had expanded into manufacturing and wholesaling, supplying high-quality outdoor clothing to market traders, independent shopkeepers, and wholesale distributors across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and mainland Europe. We still kept true to our roots and expanded our reputation up and down the country doing markets. Over the decades, we’ve proudly built long-standing relationships with our customers—some of whom have been with us since the very beginning.

As our business evolved, so did our reach and reputation. In 2011, we relocated to our current Birmingham premises—a central location that allows us to better serve clients throughout the UK and beyond. From here, we operate a full-scale warehouse, online shipping centre, and an extensive showroom, where customers can view and sample a wide range of products in person.

Despite our growth, we’ve remained true to our founding values: honesty, reliability, and a personal approach to customer service. We are still a family-run business, and that family spirit runs through everything we do—from the way we treat our customers to the pride we take in every product that leaves our warehouse.
